Check out one east coast store’s idea of an awesome Apple gift. This is definitely no longer your average techi-nerd smartwatch.
Mervis Diamonds Importers, once voted “Best Place To Buy a Diamond” via the Washington Post, decided to add more than a little glitz and glamour to the number one item on every Apple fanatic’s wish list. Resulting in the unveiling of the “Diamond iWatch”.
Their vision includes none other than the hottest metal of the holiday season: 18-karat rose gold for the band covered in full cut round diamonds. They even placed the blinged-out version of the watch to their store’s gift guide.
The Diamond iWatch features eight rows of round brilliant-cut diamonds set in a shared-prong tennis bracelet design. Includes more than 15 carats of diamonds, E/F in color and VS1/VS2 in clarity.
Jonathan Mervis had a genius idea by adding the item to their gift book. He wanted something to stop consumers in their tracks and give them the itch to come by store this season. A nice contrast to the staple pieces of every other store’s catalogue filled with diamond studs, halo engagement rings and your mother’s tennis bracelets!
Due to the lack of information given to the public on the release of the actual Apple Watch, the Washington, D.C. retailer rendered a life like version to the public instead.
Diamond iWatch Facts:
The retail price for this version is $30,150.
Prices will vary based on the metal chosen as well as the quality of the diamonds
Mervis is open to customizing the piece according to what the buyer wantS.
Once the Apple Watch is actually released and the retailer can buy a few, it will customize iWatches for its customers.
Currently, Apple has not released any details about where it will be selling its smartwatch, but Mervis said that even if the store doesn’t become an authorized seller of the Apple Watch, it will go to a retailer that is and purchase a select amount to set with diamonds and sell as the “Diamond iWatch.”
The first run of production will be extremely limited.
My goal is to make five to 10 in this production and that the second edition might be different – Mervis told National Jeweler.
The retailer is not yet accepting pre-payments for the watch but has posted it on its website to gauge interest via pre-orders.
Mervis said that the Diamond iWatch is garnering attention from all over the world, including from a number of buyers in the Middle East. Pre-orders are expected to ship in June 2015.
Once again, Lorraine reigns as the brains behind the red carpet bling. It comes as no surprise that Lorraine Schwartz steals the spotlight for most placements at this years VMA Awards. It seemed as if nearly every female celebrity was donning a piece of her and/or her sister Ofira’s line. She is the undeniable “pour some sugar on me” jewel go to for any award show these days. I love that her jewels come in an assortment of styles and a plethora of palates. She has something to go with just about anything anyone who’s anybody is wearing! Most notably, Lorraine Schwartz Jewels drenched the Queen B, whom she proudly proclaims is her muse. See Beyonce’s beautiful face framed in over 100 carats of hand-carved black jade and with white diamonds. Now that’s a chandelier! She can double it as a mobile for Blu’s crib when she gets home. Also pictured is one of LS’s many diamond bauble rings you saw that evening.

See some of the many stars who chose Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Jewels for the evening:
Kim K opted for simple jewels since she already was weighed down with tons of double sided tape to engineer her ideal cleavage in Balmain. She wore giant diamond studs to keep her enourmous engagement ring company on the carpet.
Kelly Rowland in Kaufman Franco went the overboard route with large earrings, stacked bracelets and a coral cabochon ring, all set with brown rose cuts and diamonds. Gwen Stefani in L.A.M.B. couture was beautiful but made me yawn in this outfit. I wish it were a dress and not pants. The length of the top was awkward and the bracelet needs to go. Her black diamond LS ear climbers and rings were a nice touch though. Sadly, the only thing I liked about Taylor Swifts look was her hair and makeup and the jewelry wasn’t anything special. I am not a fan of this Mary Katrantzou romper suit or the shoe. Please leave these to Bey & JLo. Only Rita Ora knows how to take all the elements of elegance and raunch them up but still look good doing it. It is not for us to understand. I see what they were going for but the Donna Karan atelier look came off as cheap yet hot Hollywood glam. However, the art deco style ruby stud earrings and diamond LS chocker were gorgeous!
Beyonce in Zuhair Murad equals perfection. She does everything with class! The LS earrings and oversized cocktail ring were the perfect addition to the exiting number she wore.
I happen to be a little obsessed with pink and turquoise looks on the red carpet. I don’t think it all has to do with them both being my favorite colors but rather the way the two sing in harmony while still making bold contrast statements when paired perfectly! In recent fashion history we have seen many jaw-dropping looks from leading ladies of Hollywood such as Cameron Diaz (circa 2007 in Dior + Fred Leighton) and Jessica Alba (Circa 2013 in Reem Acra + Wendy Yu / Sutra). However, recently Emmy Rossum surprised us all when she stepped out like a grown woman [that was in my Beyonce voice] at this year’s Critic Choice Awards.
See Emmy Rossum rock it in a popping pink separates ensemble from Monique Lhuillier topped off with 77 carats of oversized Sutra turquoise earrings including nearly 5 carats of dazzling rose cut diamonds and round brilliants in the halo.
